Sunday School ~ 9:45 am ~ Nursery to 5th grade
Sunday School provides an opportunity for children to delve deeper into God’s word, in an age-appropriate setting, where children and group leaders can love and care for one another.
Sunday and Wednesday Evening activities follow the Columbia County School Calendar for holidays
252 Basics ~ 5:00 pm ~ K-5th grades
What does 252 represent? It’s not our street address, nor the number of questions a 2nd grader can ask in 20 minutes. Instead, everything we teach in 252 Basics is based on one of three basic, but powerful,
truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52.
- I need to make the wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
(252 Basics will also participate in Children’s Choir and Sunday meal)
Children’s Choir ~ 6:00 pm ~ K – 5th grade
Bible Black Belt ~ 6:30 pm ~ K-5th grades
“Scripture with a kick!” Recent studies reveal that few adults have a proficient knowledge of the Bible. This curriculum helps familiarize children with the Bible, giving them a solid biblical foundation for a lifetime of faith in an active and engaging way.

Standards Of Excellence Retreats
The administrative board of Lewis Memorial UMC has adopted learning goals for Christian Formation and Education for each grade level. Short retreats have been developed for grade levels K – 5. These retreats are a great aid to help children achieve these goals. In addition, Bibles are presented to children at age 3 and again when they enter the 3rd grade. At Lewis we give children every opportunity to learn, grow, and become Disciples of Christ Jesus.
